“No one plans to fail, they only fail to plan” - Unknown
“If it doesn’t sell it isn’t creative.” - David Ogilvy
“Crap.” - Your Competition
Like any new relationship, we spend the first few days getting to know you and learning about your upcoming web design project, your business, and your goals. After all, the better we know your motivations, the better we can develop a solid strategy. Think of it as a first date, minus the awkward silence.
Should your new site reflect your corporate foundations or appeal to your younger consumers? Can it do both? Should you be connecting through social media? The success of your online business rests with these types of decisions. Luckily, you're not alone. Sure, our designs are pretty, but they're also built on a solid foundation so they get in front of the right eyes.
Now that we know what to do, it's time to do it! We like to keep you involved in every part of the process, especially these early stages, so once you receive the initial drafts of your design we will continue to refine them based on your feedback and timeline. If we're off the mark, we'll start again. At the end of the design process, you should have a clear picture of what your final product will be.
It's technical. It's mysterious. It's incredibly important. You might not know your way around html or cross-browser testing, but we do and we hold very high standards. Your new site will be built to current industry guidelines and follow best practices when it comes to usability and markup. See, I told you it was boring, but that's why you hired us, right?
Now is the time to comb over your new site and fix any bugs that might pop up to make sure it's ready to rock your potential customer's socks. We also like to make sure you're comfortable using any new features, like shopping carts, which we might have included. When you're ready, we can push the big red button and make your new website "live."
You've got your competition on the ropes and are connecting with a new set of online consumers, now is no time to relax! Ramp up your social media efforts, start a newsletter, print out some new business cards. The important thing is that you continue to work at it, and if you need us, we're always here to help.
